Notes: Thanks to the authors for letting me podfic this delicious, classic story! I remember the first time I read it--I couldn't stop reading, even though it was late at night and I was getting up early the next morning. I had so much fun recording it. Also thanks to
zabira--I can't seem to make a podfic without her metaphorically holding my hand at some point.
There's a slight whirring or chirping sound that I couldn't completely get rid of without making the voice sound flat, I hope it doesn't bother you too much. If I do another big project, I might buy a better microphone so the quality is better.
English isn't my native language, and if I was unsure of the pronunciation of a word, I looked it up, but of course it's hard to do that if you think you're saying it right. So there might be a few mispronounced words--I didn't want to subject anyone to four hours of beta-listening. If you catch one, I'd be grateful if you let me know.
Any feedback on the reading is welcomed with open arms. And of course, please feedback the authors, too.
If you have a suggestion for something else you think I should record, please tell me. (But I'm not taking requests, as such--I'll probably only record it if I enjoy it and I think it feels right when I read it.) I might be taking a little break after this big project, but I did enjoy it a lot, so I'll probably podfic again.
Hope you enjoy! *g*

Yeah, I learned a lot while doing this, so I think the next thing I do won't take such a long time. For example, when I was halfway through I realized that I could write down the times in the recording when I made a slip of the tongue and and had to do a retake. This speeded up the editing process considerably, since I didn't have to listen to the whole thing through. (If you do that, though, you have to start backwards, since otherwise it messes up the time markers when you edit stuff out.)

Date: 2008-02-04 02:04 pm (UTC)And I hope it doesn't feel too strange for you--it's kind of a risk to let someone else record your words, because the way they speak might not match the way it sounds in your head.
