I reread these books and the early Foundation books recently, and they're a bit dated in some respects (apparently in the future, women will have the same roles as in the 1950's!), but I still enjoyed them. I remember having a bit of a crush on Daneel as a teenager, and I can see why. *g*

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the podfic! I had a lot of fun finding character voices for Baley and Daneel.

This seems to be a common thing. : ) I really didn't have any fellow geeky friends who were into sf when I was younger, so it's good to know I'm not alone.

Oh yay, I'm so glad to hear that! Yes, it is a great story, isn't it? And I had so much fun recording it, too--Baley's and Daneel's character voices were fun to do. What did you think of them? I'd actually recently listened to audiobooks of the robot books, and didn't really like them much--the worst thing about them was that the male reader read women's dialogue with a sort of high-pitched falsetto voice that made them sound like helpless and hysterical bimbos. But I didn't really like his Baley voice either. So it was fun to do my own interpretation instead.
