I thought I'd post something for the poetry month. I enjoy poetry, even if I don't read large amounts of it. In fact, some of my earliest creative fannish impulses center around it--I've always enjoyed setting poems and lyrics to music.

The first is "Captivation", a section from the Song of Songs. I'm quite fond of the harmonies in this one (I sing both melody and harmony).

This one's a little song from Peter Beagle's "The Last Unicorn". I'm happy with how the melody brings out the playfulness of the text.

Here's "The Song of the Little Hunter" from Kipling's "Jungle Book".

This is a section from T. S. Eliot's "The Waste Land". BTW, if you like "The Waste Land", I recently listened to a brilliant reading of it that I really recommend. Seriously, it gave me that sort of almost physical pleasure that I get sometimes from listening to something really good.

And last, here's "Voices" by Water de la Mare, with me singing harmonies.

These are lovely. Thank you so much for sharing them. I agree about the harmonies in the first one, they really are good and also very evocative, but really, all of them are good. I enjoyed listening to them.
