Weirdly, my grandmother died while I was recording this fic (in which Martha Fraser dies). She was 95 and had a minor heart attack recently, so it wasn't unexpected. She was...not at all like Martha Fraser, actually. I visited her last in August, when I was down in the south to be with my family. She was always so positive in her outlook, even when she was confused about who I was and how old she herself was. And the night before she died, Mom and Dad were there with her, and she was so happy that they were there and that everyone at the hospital were so good to her, and even flirted with one of the male nurses. I will miss her. A couple of years ago, Dad recorded lots of tapes of her telling the story of her life, and I'm going to listen to those and remember her.
