I didn't give any additional details in my sign-up, so I figure that by now you are probably scratching your head and wondering what I'm after. Hopefully I will answer that here!
1) Benton Fraser/Eric Kitikmeot
I think Eric is a fascinating character, and I'd love to know more about him and his history with Fraser. It's like there's a whole conversation between the lines when they talk. How did they get to know each other? Did they ever have a romantic/sexual relationship? There's also the way Fraser clearly sympathizes with Eric's goals, and manages to overlook the not-quite-legal aspects of what he's doing. How far could Fraser go in that direction without compromising his principles?
Anyway, I would love backstory for them, or you could write something set within the episode, or something set after. Anything from practically gen to explicit sex would work for me!
2) Maggie MacKenzie
I really like Maggie, and wish she'd been in more episodes. I'd love something with her getting to know Fraser better, and exploring their family history together. Maggie's mom could have been Fraser's step-mom--what is she like? Will Maggie get to know Bob better? Or you could write a casefic, maybe with Maggie working with Fraser? Would they work well together? Maggie seems like she's got a ruthless streak that could be interesting to explore. Are her moral principles as strong as Fraser's?
3) Frannie Vecchio
I'd love some Frannie backstory! What was she like in her teenage years? What about her marriage and divorce? What was her relationship with her brother like when they were younger? Did Frannie and Irene Zuko know each other? Or you could write me Frannie at the Academy, or Frannie working a case. I love Frannie and Elaine together, as friends or as a couple. About the only thing I don't want is Frannie spending all her time mooning over Fraser.
Or you could combine this with my second request and write me some Maggie/Frannie. Frannie obviously has a weakness for polite Mounties, and Maggie could use someone with Frannie's sense of fun and her willingness to go for what she wants.
I hope this gives you some ideas! If you want to know more about my general tastes, I like everything from light and funny stories to fairly dark stories (although I would prefer no non-con, heavy jealousy, incest, or relationships with one person underage and one much older). I am fond of magical realism and landscape descriptions, and also epistolary stories.
Above all, have fun writing, and if you have an idea that's not included in my suggestions that is just calling for you to write it, go ahead! I'm sure I will love it.
