Okay, I, um, caved and signed up for BP. (The only thing that was against it is my reluctance to fly for environmental reasons. My current rationalizations are that I haven't flown since last BP and that I bike/walk everywhere in daily life.) There's also a small caveat that I don't have my teaching schedule for the spring yet and might have to cancel because of that.

Anyway, who else is going?

I'm now in the south visiting with my sister and a friend. So far I have done the following:
- Went to a sauna/sea bathhouse.
- Met up with [personal profile] exeterlinden, and we talked for six hours straight until my voice gave out. It was great, but ow.
- Went to awesome concert with Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.

Which wilderness??? I'm a local and I adore hiking; my husband and I have done a whole bunch of the trails within a sixty-mile radius of town. :D If you want suggestions, give me a holler, or if there are specific places you want to hit, let me know and I'll tell you how far away they are from Issaquah. :)

(*trying to be polite here! not inviting self along or anything, unless you want spare Helenses in the wilderness!*)

Insider tips are always welcome and I don't think Luz would mind further company as well! ;)

Last BP Luz and I went to the west coast of the Olympic Peninsula for a few days. The forrest and the coastline there were awe-inspiring and we had a lot of fun.
