I have decided not to go to bitchinparty this year after all, for several reasons:

1) I have lots of teaching and can't get much time off, and it's not worth it to fly to the US just for a week. I'd hardly have time to get rid of the jet lag.
2) I've promised my sister to go cross-country skiing in the mountains with her, and Easter is really the only time I can get away.
3) I can have RL fannish company much closer now that I've discovered the wonderful Danish fan get-togethers. Taking the train to Copenhagen = easier than flying to Seattle.
4) I flew to Argentina last spring, and my environmental conscience won't really let me fly again so soon.

I'm sad that I won't get to see you all who are going, but, well, that's the way it is.

Now I feel like we have stolen you away from BP D: But hey, maybe in the future you can bring some of us to this fabled event. I really do want to go to the US for con-related purposes at some point!

No, no! The other reasons would've been enough. You guys are more like the compensation for not being able to go. : )

And yeah, maybe BP 2016? That would be great.
