This and that
Oct. 28th, 2013 12:57 pm1) The storm Simone (or St Jude, which is the British name) is coming in over the Swedish west coast tonight, with potentially hurricane-strength winds. Am going home early from work to avoid being caught out in it. I hope you people in Britain are okay!
2) My three-months-old laptop crashed, and I had to restore it to factory settings. Luckily I had almost everything backed up and only lost 400 words of Yuletide draft and some music I'd downloaded (and my Firefox tabs), but there's still the hassle of re-installing and customizing everything. /o\ I also really dislike how Windows 8 has made it much harder to boot from an external OS on USB or CD, by something which is called "Secure Boot".
