Current tally for the 2016 See All the Wild Species Project

Numbers for last month in parenthesis. So far I've seen eight mosses I've never seen before; obviously digging where you stand is good even for a group I've been working with for years. Also I've seen seven new-to-me lichens. Cladonia species are low-hanging fruit since I never really bothered to get into them, and they're not that hard when you try.

Modesty will get you nowhere! Excellent results (and tallying -- do you write them in a notebook? take pix?)

I take temporary notes on species and coordinates on pieces of paper when I'm out, then I transfer them to an Excel file. Later I report them online (there's a Swedish site for species reporting).
