Fix things Friday

I am right now on the ferry to Denmark to visit a friend (not one of the Danish fen--I actually have other friends in Denmark! Though this one is actually a Swedish friend currently living in Denmark.) Anyway, this week I have:

- Edited the newsletter for my environmental org and sent it off to the guy who's doing the layout. This is not ordinarily my responsibility, but we need someone new to do it and I did it this time as a stopgap.
- Helped the treasurer of environmental org look through the annual financial report and figure out why it didn't add up. I found several things wrong but it still didn't add up. /o\
- Given feedback on several drafts of newspaper op-eds about forest stuff.
- Gone to the annual meeting of my union and was elected to the board (on the city level). The meeting went better than I expected (given some conflicts I knew were going to come up) and the motion I'd helped write was voted in.
- Gone to first introductory board meeting, with members of the old board and with the auditors.
- Done tons of emailing. As always.

Thanks! It was basically about clarifying the role of the person who is getting paid. Obviously it was something that people had different opinions on, so it did need clarifying...
