Oops, have not written up books in a while...

The Witches of Wenshar by Barbara Hambly (#2 in the Sun Wolf and Starhawk series)
Enjoyable, like the first one in the series, though it took a while for me to get into it. Maybe because it is at least in part a murder mystery in fantasy clothing, and I'm not actually that much into murder mysteries? But it grew on me.

Two Cheers for Anarchism by James C. Scott
Short and somewhat meandering, with thoughts on various social issues. Worth reading, but I thought Seeing Like A State (another of his books) was more interesting.

A Paradise Built in Hell by Rebecca Solnit
I bet a lot of you have read this--it's about people's reactions to disaster and how they're often altruistic and people end up working together, but also about the circumstances and counter-reactions that can stop that from happening. Recommended.

Lavinia by Ursula K. Le Guin
Reread. I like this a lot--I mean, it's Le Guin, I am always there for whatever she wrote. It's interesting reading it alongside Always Coming Home, which I'm reading for a book club now, because it's similar in how it values the domestic life and sees it as rich and rewarding.
