One of those days

If my paid work today had been "eat berry crumble and write fanfic", I would have been very productive. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

My actual paid work today was "revise 100-page course literature based on someone else's ten-year-old Latex file that I cannot figure out WTF goes wrong with when I compile it, starting with encoding errors". I did not make progress on that.

But hey, my new fic is at 10,000 words now, and is full of ridiculous amounts of UST...

Berry crumble is very good, it's true. And yes, for a certain sense of "productive", I suppose I have been. Better luck with actual work tomorrow!

WOW. As a math person I know the LaTex struggle. I only look at the first error because looking at all of them can be overwhelming and sometimes just fixing the first thing wipes out everything else that's wrong!
