I do wish my coughing would stop so that I could fall asleep at night and not lie awake until three, argh. Writing ended up last in the day again, but I got a decent (if not great) chunk of words. How did your writing go?

Sorry to hear about the coughing, that's such a nuisance! I was so grateful my cough finally let me sleep agin, only to acquire some mysterious strain/tension/ stiff neck which is so painful I now have troubles sleeping for that reason. /o\ Why are bodies?
But go you for having managed a decent chunk of writing! *\O/*
Day 6: 725 words, blog entry. I've upgraded my Scrivener version to 3 on Tuesday and am now working at finding my way around the changes, and trying to work out the momentary hiccups for me until I can bothered to do the tutorial etc. ;op

Thanks! Sorry about your stiff neck, I have a great massage therapist I would go to in that situation. Perhaps worth trying?

Unfortunately, I can't easily get massage therapist appointments in our area - only by prescription, and for that I first need an appointment with an orthopedist with a waiting period of about three months (all since it's not an emergency or urgent) - and even if I had a prescription I'd wait at least six weeks for an appointment (again unless it's an emergency or urgent). Siljan is a skilled masseur and usually can help me perfectly fine, but this time it's done nothing so far, and I have no idea yet what the problem is - not your usual stiff neck, though, that much I found out. I'm using heat, crosstape (which doesn't help as well as usual but at least some), comfrey salve (also helps some) but movement seems to help most, so I keep making exercises despite the pain. But ugh. ;op

Ugh, I can relate--my head cold moved into my chest overnight. I hope you feel better soon!

This is LATE for yesterday: On Day 6, I managed only 103 words and a bit of research on end times folklore.

Oh dear :( I had a cough like that last winter and it is a very unpleasant experience—wishing you a speedy recovery and better sleep!

No writing for me on the 6th, but today, day 7: Began a possible Yuletide treat. :)

Ugh, coughing. I hope it passes quickly. Congrats on getting a good amount of words down despite it!

I forgot to check in for a couple of days, oops. Over days 6 and 7, I wrote 1202 words of a gift fic, and edited and posted two fics: a little flashfic for fan_flashworks, and the longfic I was endlessly editing last month. It's posted! All 38k of it! :D

Will check in again later for today.

ETA: 8th: some number of words on the gift fic. Maybe 800ish? So far, plot is refusing to develop. /o\

Day 7: ~2.2k as I hyperfocused my way into writing a whole fic instead of just its outline. It'll need editing, that's a problem for later me. <3

Boo to the coughing! There's an over-the-counter med here called guaifenisen that helps hugely when I have a cough. It's not a suppressant; it instead makes the coughing effective, so it's one-and-done. Nothing else has worked nearly so well for me.

I don't actually have that much to cough up? It's just this tickle in my throat which is impossible to ignore...but it was better last night, so hopefully I'll be rid of it soon.
