In December I am hosting Write Every Day. Welcome, everyone!

What is the Write Every Day challenge?
Write Every Day is just what its name says: We challenge each other to write, every single day. Our goal is to encourage one another and provide the accountability and/or motivation that some of us find very useful in keeping the words flowing. However, there's no obligation and no pressure, and if writing didn't happen for you on any given day, there won't be any judgement, just support and sympathy!

Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome! We’re an open-minded, nonjudgmental group of people who enjoy writing.

What do I have to do?
We’ll post each day with a little bit about our writing and a running tally of participants. All you need to do is drop by the comments on the most recent tally entry to let us know how you’re doing. Please know that you are never obligated to check in. Also, if you'd like to comment on someone else's comment but aren't checking in for yourself, that's perfectly fine too. We're really easygoing 'round here, and conversation is absolutely encouraged.

Is there a word limit or quota?
Nope. Write as little as an “alibi” sentence (just what it sounds like—a sentence you write to say you’ve written, an alibi for the day, as it were) or as much as you’d like. All word counts are welcome!

Is there any restriction on the kind of writing I can do?
Absolutely not! Fanfiction, original fiction, screenplays, blog posts, meta, academic writing, morning pages, reviews, editing, letter-writing, nonsense poems, bucket list: if it feels like writing to you, it counts!

Do I have to participate all the time?
No way! You can come and go at your pleasure.

Do you have any goals for the month? Mine is to finally finish my current longfic. On Day 1, I posted the next-to-last chapter of it. All done except for the epilogue! \o/ Did you do any writing today?

Bonus farming news: if ducks eat acorns, the yolks of their eggs will be greenish! I can't taste any difference, though.

ficinabox reveals are next weekend, so I'm still working on that. After that, Yuletide will be my main focus until the 24th, and after that, fandomtrees.

Still trying to finish a fic I started for spook_me, so my goal is to at least make progress, at the very least.

Dec 1st - 1246 words. An expanded ficathon full, work on an unfinished ficlet, some minor editing, and my 4 Monday double drabbles.

I began an accidental m/m paranormal romance novel in October, so I’ll be writing away on that this month.

Day 1, I added 408 words to “Dixon and the Detective.”

Yes, finally! It had been two months... And I too have an unstated goal of "perhaps some Yuletide treats, we'll see". Good job wording on the 1st.

My goals are to work on a couple of my Hazbin Hotel wips, work on the novel and work on fandomtrees

After writing NOT ONE WORD the entire month of November, I'm back on the wagon, I hope! Sheesh. But… it was somehow restful? I guess I needed a break. But a whole month!

So for December I've set myself a goal of 100 words a day. So far, so good. ;-)

Oh, yay!! I actually have so many writing goals I need to meet this month… it's awful ;-;

So I am absolutely going to join in, and thank you for hosting! I am going to count the letter of recommendation I just wrote for today's word count, but starting tomorrow, I'll be focusing on dissertation, r&rs, and this FTH fic I've still got to finish (😬).

Well, I hope this will be helpful, then! That does sound like an awful lot of writing goals, and I wish you the best of luck with them. What does r&r and FTH stand for? *curious*

Revise and Resubmit: this is truly such a nomenklatura problem but I have three articles at good journals which requested revisions, which is amazing, but I actually have to DO the revisions and it is stressing me out sooooo badly, especially the one with a co-author.

The fic is a Fandom Trumps Hate auction gift which I've really struggled with, to be honest -- hence still needing to finish it in December! It think it's suffered from all the academic writing I've been doing this year, which isn't leaving a lot of juice for the fun stuff.
