Update

Right, my sister feels a little better, and we're going off to the mountains after all. But we've changed the route, and I think it's for the better even if she hadn't come down with a cold. We'd planned to go from Ammarnäs to Hemavan (which is six days), but it's pretty late in the season. After calling and checking the snow conditions, we're starting at Hemavan instead, where the snow is better, and only going part of the way along the route and then back again. This way we can avoid crossing the ice on the big lake in the middle of the route, which can get awfully wet late in the season. Also, we can cheat and use the ski lift in Hemavan to avoid some of the upward slopes just at the start. *g*

Now I'm just hoping that I don't catch the cold. *crosses fingers* Anyway, the upshot is that I'll be offline starting tomorrow and getting back on Sunday. I'll take some photos and post when I get back.
