I'm graaaaaading lab reports, and I just came across a student who can actually write! With flair, and complete sentences, and the correct use of semicolons! Dear student, you brighten my day. &hearts

I guess it's sad that this should be such a rare occurrence. I don't feel that I can take the time to correct grammar and spelling and punctuation--I'm supposed to be teaching them university level math, after all. They should really know how to write already. *sigh*

My zombie lab assignment has gone pretty well, though, aside from problems of grammar. I overheard students having spirited discussions of it. *g*

Don't you just wish you could give that student a cookie?

I think the zombie lab assignment was something of a stroke of genius. :)

*falls over laughing*

As one of the very, very few math teachers who teaches my students writing (They're only 12 to 14, I can do it!) I find this very amusing.

So I could blame the English language for my broken brain today, after surviving an 8 h intensive lecture of "Statistics for Non Statisticians"?
