Podfic of Academic Punk!
Apr. 27th, 2008 09:11 pmWow, this seems to be the weekend of fannish productivity for me. So much podficcing. This one has been a WIP for about a month and a half, and I finally got around to finishing it! Mmm, I love my new recording equipment.
NOTE: If you had trouble with the long mp3 version, you can download it again--it's fixed, thanks to
cybel.

or the whole thing as one file: 2 hours and 21.28 minutes, 129.5 mb, download at Sendspace.
There is also an audiobook with a lovely cover by
cybel, download it at Sendspace.
Reader's notes: This story is one of the classics of the fandom, and one of my favorite AU:s. Ray and Fraser are English professors, and the canon is adapted wonderfully to fit this scenario. I love the slow and delicious courtship in this story. Thanks to
thehoyden for letting me record it, I enjoyed it! If anyone wants smaller files with lower quality, I'd be glad to upload some. ETA: Almost forgot,
akamine_chan beta-listened to the first part of this. Any mispronunciations in the other parts are my fault, obviously.

Date: 2008-04-28 06:45 am (UTC)One thing I sometimes have trouble with is voiced and unvoiced "s"--Swedish only has unvoiced "s". If I don't think about it, I do pretty well, I think, since I did learn the language as a child. But if I start thinking about it I'll second-guess myself and get all uncertain. And it's not like there's a rule about it, like in French.
Hope you enjoy this one! And yeah, I do like academic AU:s. *g*
