Librivox is a different community in some respects, for example you always get a prooflistener when you're working on a project, as well as administrative support. But it's similar to the podficcing community in that every accent and voice is okay, and they're very open to re-recordings of the same text.

I don't have much contact with other bookbinders, want to link to photos of your books? : )

Yes, it looked a little intimidating at first, but I think it looks pretty cool! I stumbled across it long before I even knew about fanfic, so I have a bit of a soft spot.

I'm sorry! I haven't posted about any of my projects yet, partly since I've still been experimenting. I did some sketchbooks a year or two ago, and am kind of fond on open-back coptic binding so it's definitely not as elegant as yours. I'm really going to try to bind one book this month though, and will definitely post about it on my Dreamwidth! (I have it typeset, so I'm just waiting for paper to arrive.) I think my interest is developing in the direction of small books (A6) so it'll be interesting to see how that goes.

Well, do post a link when you have something! That's intriguing with an A6 format, I never thought of that.

I like tiny books but am nervous about complicated layouts, so A6 seems like a happy medium, specially with some of the helpful imposing tools available.
