I have bound some books recently! Here they are.

This is Annick Trent's The Oak and the Ash, bound for the author. This is an Italian paper, a recreation of a renaissance pattern.

Same book, but for my own bookshelf. This is my least successful one of the five, IMO--the paper on its own is lovely, but I think there's too little contrast between the cloth and the paper, and between the two colors in the pattern, for it to work. But also the light in the photo is just bad, which doesn't help! It's a handmade Nepalese Lokta paper.

A close-up of the previous book, to show the pattern better (incidentally also showing where I smudged the glue a little...).

This is [personal profile] regshoe's That Loyalty of Friendship, bound for the author. Another Italian renaissance paper.

Same book, but for me. Another Nepalese Lokta paper. This one might be my favorite of the bunch! The photo doesn't quite do it justice--the paper is more rose-tinted.

And finally a blank writing book for [personal profile] regshoe. Also a Nepalese Lokta paper.

That is so cool. Where did you learn to do book binding?
