Podfic for me + writing discipline
Oct. 19th, 2010 08:06 pmI won another prize in
amplificathon! This prize is for posting the highest number of new fandoms--apparently I posted podfic in almost 30 new fandoms. Cool. Anyway, the prize is a podfic of my Benton and Caroline story Missing Pages, read by
lunate8. I'm very fond of that story, and the reading is great. It actually put tears in my eyes.
I signed up for
ficfinishing for an old Fraser/Thatcher WIP, but I'm being all avoidant and not getting anything done on it. I'm also working on two contributions to
ds_flashfiction's Genre challenge (you should write for it, too!). But what I actually am itching to write atm is a prompt fill over at
duesouth_kink (the Maggie/Victoria anonymous sex prompt, of all things--I've got it all figured out in my head). Perhaps I should just give in. *sigh*
Or maybe what I actually should do is give my hands a rest--they are all tired from sitting in front of a computer all day.

Date: 2010-10-19 07:22 pm (UTC)Hey, that's a good thing! I've got mine, too, and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to come up with something for it, but I'm not feeling super-inspired yet.
As to what you "should" be writing I always say write the story that's burning to get out. You don't want to lose it and the other story will still be waiting when you're done.
Yeah, that's probably good advice--one shouldn't waste inspiration. I will do as you say. : )
And thank you! &hearts
